What is a Desktop license?

Desktop License

This is the key license for computer use. It’s a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-assignable, non-transferable license. Our fonts are delivered in OpenType format (.otf). It’s a license for anyone who needs fonts installed on their Windows or Mac OS machine: Design studios, advertising and marketing agencies, freelancers, printers, as well as internal design and marketing teams… Any other use requires a specific license. Examples of use covered by a desktop license:

  1. Designing and editing content set in fonts on a computer with applications such as Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Pages, Numbers, Keynote, TextEdit, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Indesign, and many others.
  2. Create with fonts documents, outputs, catalogs for printing and for files such as PDFs for personal or internal business Use, as well to create rasterized images or graphics (PNG, JPEG, TIFF).
  3. A license is required for each cpu user (one user = one machine).
  4. You can install the fonts on a centralised server on your intranet-type local area network at the condition that users with access not to exceed the total number of users authorised by your license.
  5. In case you’ve designed a logotype sold to a client, letterform-related products for resale, etc. you legally must acquire a separate Artwork license based on the use.
