A Boston native, Tom Grace (b. 1976) persued an education in the health sciences and experience in information technology. He began cultivating his interest in type through work and instruction in visual design and illustration. His formal education in designing type comes from the Rhode Island School of Design and the University of Reading, where he received his MA in typeface design.
His areas of particular interest are font technology and development, as well as multiple-script type design. Before joining Porchez Typofonderie (in 2005) he had developed fonts for Jeremy Tankard Typography and the Font Bureau, and continues to create original designs.
Tom Grace moved to Germany in 2006 and continue to work for us on some specific projects.
