Charente

Is a custom typeface designed in 2000 by Jean François Porchez for the Charente Libre local newspaper. The new typeface, developed in conjunction with Dominique Roynette, who redesign the newspaper (launch on the 1st March 2000), is used by the Charente Libre for the headlines, subheads, captions, etc. The typeface is developed in two weights. The forms of the Charente family are specially developped to be condensed and extented without too much problems. Available for the retail market through Porchez Typofonderie in future.

In 2010, Ardoise PTF is the new version, designed for Pèlerin relaunched in June 2010.
