Parisine Plus was always a reaction to the subjective functionalism of Parisine; where Parisine expresses neutrality, Parisine Plus PTF has fun with contrast and subtle additions rare for a sans family. Angie Sans Std is a low contrast incised sans serif family which was issued one year before FF Angie (won a Morisawa awards in 1990) published by FontFont in 1995. In Angie Sans legibility is improved by keeping letter shapes open and distinct from one another.

Apolline Std received a Morisawa Award in 1993 (Japan). The objective was mainly to obtain a horizontal emphasis. The asymmetry of serifs reinforce the writing rhythm. The original drawings are very small. They began on tracing paper and were then digitized at larger sizes. “Roughness” makes the face more lively.
